On Friday, May18th at 7pm, Lorusso Lodge in South Yarmouth will rock, roll and swing to the music of Out Late with Diana Di Gioia, as they celebrate the release of their third CD, “Nevermore”.  The band features Di Gioia on vocals and rhythm guitar, J Hagenbuckle on lead guitar, Melody Masi on backing vocals and Peter Giordano on bass. Drummer Jed Chrysler will join them for this event. Together they create the perfect sound for Di Gioia’s original songs, with influences from surf to americana to swing blues.  A three time finalist in the Cape’s Eventide Songwriting Competition, Di Gioia describes her music as combining “word nerd lyrical skills with rock ‘n’ roll energy”.

The Cape Cod Times calls Di Gioia’s songs “Finely honed narratives with telling details”. The Outer Cape’s Payomet Center for the Arts says, “Diana and her band bring youthful energy, exuberant sound and fun storytelling to her original body of songs.”

Out Late with Diana Di Gioia is performing at this year’s Cape Cod Women’s Music Festival, has shared the stage with folk rock veteran Catie Curtis, been featured at  Eastham’s First Encounter Coffeehouse, the Arts Foundation of Cape Cod’s Songwriter Series, First Night celebrations in Sandwich, Chatham, and Northern Vermont, and a host of New England coffeehouses, festivals and benefits.

A native of Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom, Diana is a long time Cape resident, and currently resides in West Barnstable
