Sandwich Arts Alliance Announces Third Thursdays' Third Year

Held at the Sandwich American Legion from 7 to 9 p.m.

The Sandwich Arts Alliance is proud to announce its third year of “Third Thursdays” at the American Legion on 20 Main Street in Sandwich from 7-9 pm each month. A $5 cover charge goes to the musicians.

Performances will be held in the lower level lounge of the Legion with plenty of parking around the back of the building.  The atmosphere is casual, and the cash bar is very affordable.

“Third Thursdays” was created in July of 2016 to give local music goers a place to listen to inexpensive live music, and to provide a venue for the talented musicians, all members of Sandwich Arts Alliance, to perform.

The collaboration between the American Legion and the Arts Alliance is just the type of opportunity that the Arts Alliance seeks to create. Thanks to Post 188 and Post Commander Ray Tourville for their openness to this endeavor.

The schedule has been set for every Third Thursday through November 16th.  According to Greg Polanik, a talented musician and the program manager, “The music will cover a wide range of styles, including Americana, Country, Rock, Blues, Soul, Folk, Jazz and Celtic”.

The complete schedule of “Third Thursdays”, from April to November, can be found at sandwichartsalliance.org, on posters at the Sandwich Public Library, and on flyers posted at retail shops throughout Sandwich village. Don't miss this great opportunity to enjoy live music!
