Five Nauset Students Awarded Scholarship by Lions Club

Five graduating seniors from Nauset Regional High School will be the recipients of scholarships totaling $4,250 from the Chatham-Nauset Lions Club.  Rae Gainey from Brewster will study nursing at Duquesne University; Kaitlyn Taylor from Brewster will major in international studies at Tulane University; Seamus Murphy from Chatham will study wilderness therapy at Green Mountain College; John Our from Chatham will pursue political science at Harvard University and Caroline Donoghue from Wellfleet will major in engineering at Boston College.  Since 1995, the club has awarded more than $135,000 in scholarships to graduating seniors from Chatham (now Monomoy), Cape Cod Tech and Nauset Reional High Schools. These funds are generated by the club’s various projects such as its closest to the pin contests, psychic fair and pancake breakfasts.
