Beaty Proposes "Partial Solution" to Mitigate Bridge Traffic

Proposes conversion to double-level, two-road bridges...
County Commissioner Ron Beaty

BARNSTABLE - Speaking as a Republican Candidate for the Massachusetts House of Representatives for the 5th Barnstable District, current Barnstable County Commissioner Ronald Beaty today proposed a partial solution to help mitigate chronic heavy traffic congestion at the Bourne and Sagamore Bridges over the Cape Cod Canal.

Beaty said, “As part of the solution to mitigating heavy traffic congestion at the Bourne and Sagamore Bridges over the Cape Cod Canal, I propose eventual conversion of each structure to a double-level, two road bridge somewhat similar to the Tobin Bridge over the Mystic River in Boston.”

Beaty continued, “Further details and related information concerning this proposed partially solution will be elaborated upon at a later date. However, at least the main idea is now out there for people to intelligently ponder, productively discuss, and  provide relevant constructive feedback about.”

Beaty finally stated, “My Republican candidacy for 5th Barnstable District State Representative is about coming up with real world solutions to the various daunting problems that plague Cape Cod, as well as challenging the corrupt status quo on Beascon Hill which my incumbent GOP Primary Election opponent appears to be a part of!”
