Rollover Crash in Dennis, Victims Extricated

Both victims trapped, one suffers life-threatening injuries...

From the Dennis Fire Department:

Received a call at 1:12 pm for a rollover accident on Route 6 westbound between Exit 9 and the Bass River.

A red F 150 Ford pickup truck trailing a boat was allegedly cut off causing the driver to lose control. Two males were in the truck at the time and transported to Cape Cod Hospital with one having life threating injuries. One of the victims was trapped when the truck landed on his arm. Lifting air bags were used by Yarmouth Fire Department to remove the truck while Dennis firefighters pulled the victim from the car. A chain saw was needed to remove trees from the driver’s side door to gain access to the vehicle.

Traffic was backed up for miles including up on to Rte 134. One lane of traffic was kept open by the State Police whom are investigating the incident.
