Barnstable Planning Board to Ponder Pot Regulations

Public hearing on June 25th...

The discussion of regulations for adult use marijuana establishments in the Town of Barnstable will continue next week as the Planning Board considers two separate zoning amendments.

On Monday, June 25, 2018, at 7 pm, the Planning Board will hold public hearings on two zoning amendments proposing different regulations related to adult use marijuana establishments:

  • Item 2018-163, proposes to create a Cannabis Overlay District and regulations for establishing and operating marijuana establishments, sponsored by Councilors Beedenbender, Cullum, and Schnepp.
  • Item 2018-159, proposes to prohibit non-medical marijuana establishments town-wide, sponsored by Council President Steinhilber.

Maps of the proposed overlay district can be found in the “Rec Marijuana Regulations” file.

The Planning Board Meeting will take place on Monday, June 25, 2018 at 7:00 PM in Barnstable Town Hall, 367 Main Street, 2nd Floor, Hearing Room, Hyannis, MA  02601.
