Make Your Own Teddy Bear at "Teddy Bear Picnic"

July 13th, Falmouth Museums on the Green

When you’re a kid there’s probably only one thing better than getting a teddy bear—making your own.  Children will get to do just that at The Teddy Bear Picnic on Friday, July 13, from 10 am-noon at the Falmouth Museums on the Green.

The morning starts with a hands-on build-a-bear activity.  Once bears are properly stuffed, dressed and named, children can introduce them to parents and grandparents at a special picnic before taking them home.

“We’re always looking for ways to incorporate multi-generational activities into our programming and give the community the opportunity to visit the Museums on the Green,” said Executive Director Mark Schmidt.“

This event, sponsored by the Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod and Garelick Farms, is designed for children ages under 12 who must be accompanied by an adult. The cost for each child is $15.  Pre-registration is required.  For more information and to register, visit museumsonthegreen.org or call 508-548-4857, ext. 10. The Museums on the Green campus is located at 55 and 65 Palmer Avenue in Falmouth.
