Eastham Drowning Victim Identified

69 year old Barnstable man

The Cape Cod National Seashore has identified the man who died at Coast Guard Beach on Sunday as James Coder, age 69, of Barnstable.

Mr. Coder was pulled from the water at Coast Guard Beach after being found floating in the water after 4 p.m. 

Despite immediate commencement of CPR and all best efforts, he was later pronounced dead at Cape Cod Hospital.

An official cause of death has not yet been released.
