Labyrinth Walk

Chase Park Chatham, MA

July 27, 2018 - 10:00 a.m. RAIN OR SHINE

Labyrinths have a long history as a major art design that people in many cultures around the world have adopted and adapted for their latent power to bring different levels of reality together – the visible with the invisible, the transcendent with the imminent, and the forgotten with the remembered.  In these ways labyrinths are always a resource for universal inspirations.  From the edge of the design, along the spiral path to a center space, and returning  along the same route, walking labyrinths or simply viewing those yields heightened awareness, as well as sighting new sensibilities to fit into peoples’ experiences.

On July 27, 2018 at 10 a.m., Dr. Margaret Rappaport and Darlene T. Hagon, both Veriditas-certified labyrinth facilitators will guide a one hour walk on the Chartres-style, eleven circuit labyrinth in Chase Park in Chatham, MA on Cape Cod.  The theme for focus and contemplation is Universal Inspirations of the Labyrinth.

All are welcome to this outdoor gathering that will feature meditative music and decorative symbols that link people to the traditions and the practice of walking labyrinths for myriad purposes. The event is free of charge.
