Full Moon Summer Bash at Edgewood Farm

July 28th in Truro

Truro Center for the Arts is hosting a Full Moon Summer Bash at Edgewood Farm, 3 Edgewood Way, Truro, on Saturday, July 28, 2018 from 6 – 9:30 pm.

The evening will honor Mike Winkler of Winkler Construction and Crane and Ceramics Program Director Brian Taylor. Mike Winkler has often donated his time (and crane) for Castle Hill.  Whether it was moving printing presses or transporting whole buildings, Mike has been a real friend to Castle Hill as well as to the community as a whole.  Brian Taylor is moving on after over seven years with Castle Hill.  His dedication, skill and creativity will be sorely missed on campus.  What better way to spend a beautiful July night than honoring these two gentlemen and mingling with Castle Hill staff and board as well as our community of artists and art lovers at Edgewood Farm!

It will be an evening of fun and dancing with live music provided by Chandler Travis Philharmonic Band and delicious food, cocktails and beer provided by Devil’s Purse Brewing Co.!   Castle Hill began a partnership with Devil’s Purse last October during our Cape Clay Exhibition, we are very please to call them one of our major sponsors for all of our summer events this season.  They were recently awarded one of Boston Magazine’s 2018 Destination Breweries!

Castle Hill appreciates all that our donors, supporters and community members have done to help this vision become a reality.  We hope you will join us at this FREE event, and see how you have helped to shape the future of Castle Hill.

We are looking ahead to the fall, as we prepare to open the second season of our Artist-in-Residence program at Edgewood Farm.  Last year we were able to accommodate 17 total artists between the fall and spring who were able to spend valuable uninterrupted time in their studios.  This opportunity allowed them to learn from one another, grow as artists, prepare for exhibitions and take time to just explore the creative process that can get lost in the busyness of everyday life.  This year we will be expanding these numbers to 10 artists in the spring and 10 in the fall.  The residency program has been a primary organizational goal for us, and to see it come to life has truly shown us the great support for this project, and how much Castle Hill means to so many.

To sign up please for our Summer Bash and Open house please call 508-349-7511 or go to: https://www.castlehill.org/special-events/2018/7/28/full-moon-bash       Come celebrate with us!
