Corn Roast & Summer Shindig Contra Dance

Wellfleet Farmers Market - July 28th at Preservation Hall

Saturday, July 28th from 5-9:30pm in the backyard of Wellfleet Preservation Hall, 335 Main Street.

Put on your dancing shoes, bring your mate, your family and your friends to our Corn Roast and Summer Shindig! As the just-full moon rises Market board members will be roasting all-you-can-eat corn from Keith’s Farm in Acushnet with watermelon, fresh-squeezed lemonade, and bratwurst from Cape Cod Organic Farm in Barnstable.

From 7-9 Outermost Contra dance will present a night of traditional old-time dance and music of New England featuring Cape Cod’s favorite Celtic fiddler, Rose Clancy, and the fabulous John Alden calling the dance. No experience necessary to kick up your heels!

There’s a silent auction from 5-8 featuring fabulous food and agriculture items from our farmers and artisans, friends and spirited local businesses who support community initiatives.

It’s our biggest fundraiser of the year, proceeds benefit our market mission including our food justice and zero waste initiatives.
