Family Fun Fridays, which begin on Friday, July 27, and take place on Fridays through August 17, feature crafts, outdoor fun, and an 11 am live performance at Heritage’s expansive outdoor stage. 

Enjoy a day at Heritage that features fun for the whole family, including a performance, outdoor games, and family challenges. FREE with Museum admission.

11 am performance: Wayne Potash and the Music Fun Band

Wayne Potash performs fun, interactive music shows for families with children (ages 1-10). Whether indoors or outdoors, his shows always feature lots of sing-a-longs, dancing, jumping, games, and requests from the audience. Wayne and his five-piece band which includes guitar, bass, drums, keyboards, fiddle, and banjo has played hundreds of shows including Club Passim, Boston Harborfest, and the Cambridge River Festival in addition to playing at schools, parks, festivals, children’s hospitals, museums, corporate events, and house parties. Wayne has released seven albums for kids, provides music and movement programs for fifteen Boston-area schools, and has also appeared on local radio and cable television.

Other Activities:

  • Outdoor games on the Parade Field, including Red Light Green Light and other race games
  • Scavenger Hunt around the grounds
  • Lego Dream Car Design Challenge at the Carousel – 10am – 2pm
  • Special craft in Hidden Hollow
