Trash Truck Fire in Wareham

A fine mess...

From the Wareham Fire Department...

This morning, Group 2 responded on E1 to RT 195 Westbound by exit 21 for a report of a trash truck on fire.

Upon arrival, the truck had emptied its contents onto the break down lane. The truck was not involved in the fire however E1 company worked quickly to extinguish the large trash pile that was actively burning in the roadway.

A second engine company from Wareham Station 2 (E2) responded to assist. Representatives from Mass Highway and DEP were called to the scene.

Thank you to MSP, Bourne, Wareham Police & Wareham EMS who also responded and staged at the scene as other assets.
