The Friends of Crosby Mansion, Inc. will hold the third open house of the season on Sunday, August 5 from 10 AM to 2 PM.  Docents will be in the rooms on the first floor to answer questions and give talks.  Guided and self-guided tours may be made of the second and third floors. Built in 1888 and named “Tawasentha” by Albert and Matilda Crosby, the mansion is located at 163 Crosby Lane, Brewster. The Friends of Crosby Mansion have worked for 26 years to restore this three-story residence to its former glory.  Brewster author, Dorothy Leone, will sign copies of her book “Where The Herring Run,” a fictional novel based on the life of Albert Crosby.  A $5 donation per person over age 12 will be requested at the door. For information, visit www.crosbymansion.com or call 508-896-1744.
