The Friends of Crosby Mansion will hold the final open house of the season on Sunday, August 19th from 10 AM - 2 PM. The mansion was built in 1888, is located at 163 Crosby Lane, Brewster and was named “Tawasentha” by Albert and Matilda Crosby.
It surrounds and is attached to Albert’s 1832 boyhood home. Docents will be in the first floor rooms to answer questions and give talks. Guided and self-guided tours are available for the second and third floors. Brewster author Dorothy Leone will sign copies of her book “Where The Herring Run,” a fictional novel based on the life of Albert Crosby. The Friends of Crosby Mansion have taken 25 years to restore this residence to its former glory and it is furnished with period pieces donated by generous Cape Codders.
A $5 donation is requested from those over age 12. For more information, please visit website www.crosbymansion.com or call 508-896-1744.
