Wareham Police had a productive week of crime fighting and made several arrests as a result of their endeavors.
On Monday, August 20th, at approximately 10:50 a.m., Officer James White arrested Bianca Yeje, age 25, of New Bedford, on Onset Avenue near Camp Street. She was charged with operating after suspension of license, operating with a revoked registration, and operating an unregistered auto.
At 9:55 p.m. Monday, Officers White and Kyle Gomes, arrested Michael Nelson, age 26, of Plymouth after a motor vehicle stop on Cranberry Highway. Nelson had two outstanding warrants and a suspended driver’s license.
On Tuesday, August 21st, at 9:30 p.m., officers responded to Mayflower Way and Churbuck Street for a single car crash with no injury. Following an investigation, Officer Jennifer Braley arrested Everett Johnson, age 70, of East Wareham, for operating under the influence of liquor and negligent operation of a motor vehicle.
On Wednesday, Aug. 22nd, at about 6:15 a.m., Officers Justin Silveira and Christopher Corner arrested Troy Fowler, age 27, of East Wareham at his residence. Mr. Fowler was arrested on an active, outstanding warrant.
At about 7:20 p.m.Wednesday, a Wareham detective arrested Michael Medeiros, age 41, of East Wareham, on an outstanding warrant. The arrest occurred on Glen Charlie Road after the detective saw Medeiros in the passenger seat of a car and had knowledge that there was an active default warrant for his arrest.
A Wareham man was arrested on Friday, Aug. 24, accused of causing a disturbance in Tobey Hospital’s emergency room. Michael Pina, age 33, was charged with disorderly conduct (subsequent offense), disturbing the peace and threats to commit a crime (subsequent offense). Sgt. Daniel Henderson, Officers Ryan Gomes and Ryan Turner responded to Tobey Hospital for a reported disturbance at approximately 3:45 a.m.
Police said officers found Pina screaming and yelling obscenities. Officers told Pina to calm down, but he continued to lash out, police said. After his arrest, Pina threatened the officers by saying he was going to shoot them when given the opportunity.
During the week other arrests were made that are not available for public disclosure.
