Falmouth Police Statement on Teen Pedestrian Struck by Car

Subject: Crash w/ Injury

On August 29, 2018, at approximately 7:00 PM, the Falmouth Police Department, the Falmouth Fire Rescue Department and the Barnstable County Sheriff’s Office responded to 172 Gifford St. for a crash with injury. It involved an 18 year old female from Foxborough, MA who was crossing the street in, or near, a crosswalk. She had a bicycle with her but it is still being determined whether she was riding the bike or whether she had dismounted. The vehicle involved was a Toyota Tundra and it was operated by a 67 year old East Falmouth woman.

The cyclist/pedestrian was Med-flighted to a Boston area hospital with leg and head injuries. The vehicle operator was uninjured.
