From the National Weather Service:
We expect increasing coastal and marine impacts over the next few days. First, there is the possibility of minor splashover during the overnight high tide tonight. This is due to high astronomical tides as we get close to the new moon Sunday and persistent NE to E winds.
In addition, the very first SE swells from distant Florence are expected to arrive during Sunday. These swells should only increase as the week progresses. High surf will make for dangerous conditions along south-facing ocean-exposed beaches due to large breaking waves and rip currents.
