Castle Hill Presents "Steamroller Printmaking Extravaganza"

September 15th at Edgewood Farm

Truro Center for the Arts at Castle Hill is hosting the 3rd annual Steamroller Printmaking Extravaganza.  The event will take place on September 15th from 10am – 1pm, at Edgewood Farm, 3 Edgewood Way, Truro.  This event is FREE and open to the public thanks to the support of the Wellfleet and Truro Local Cultural Councils.

This unique event uses an actual steamroller, - yes, the kind you see doing road work - to work as a press would when making a print.  You ink up your block, position your paper and get the steamroller ready!  After the steamroller glides over your block, you will unveil a truly unique print.

For those experienced printmakers, this is a great opportunity to print those large-scale blocks you have been waiting for just the right time to print!  And for those who are new to printmaking, come see this exciting event and experience carving and printing your own creation.

There will be vegetable carving for printmaking for the younger audience. All ages and experience levels are welcome for this community event.

The event is sponsored by Printmakers of Cape Cod and Truro Center for the Arts at Castle Hill.  Truro and Wellfleet Cultural Councils provided funding for this event.
