Harwich Democrats to Hear Presentation on Question 2

October 13th at 10 a.m.

The public is invited to an educational presentation by Laura Gang of We the People Massachusetts about Question 2 on November’s ballot, hosted by the Harwich Democratic Town Committee Saturday October 13 10 am at the Harwich Community Center, 100 Oak St. Harwich.

Question 2 calls for a Citizens Commission to advance a 28th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution for limits on campaign spending and corporate rights. A slide-show presentation will cover topics including recent Supreme Court decisions and their effects on democracy, why a democracy amendment to the US Constitution is being sought, and how people’s movements have won existing constitutional amendments, such as voting rights for African Americans, women, and 18-year-olds.

This presentation is sponsored by We The People Massachusetts, a non-partisan, all-volunteer network of citizens. For more information about the presentation, email [email protected] Information about We The People Massachusetts can be found at www.WeThePeopleMass.org
