"Stop the Bleed" Training Offered to Surf Community

October 18th and 19th at Chatham Shark Center...

The Atlantic White Shark Conservancy and Orleans Fire and Rescue Department, along with Natural Resources Department, are offering free “Stop the Bleed” training to the surf community along with the general public beginning Oct. 18.

The training, from 7 to 8 p.m. at the conservancy’s Chatham Shark Center on Route 28, will be led by Fire and Rescue Department personnel.

The training is an initiative of the regional shark working group. Wellfleet will be offering a similar program Oct. 19. Additional sessions will take place at 7 p.m. Nov. 1 and 8 at the Chatham Shark Center.
