Clouds and fog will be with us today and tonight. Light showers this morning will become locally heavier this afternoon and evening. 

A Flash Flood Watch remains in effect from midday through tonight. An approaching cold front will draw on tropical moisture from Tropical Storm Michael, creating local downpours in Southern New England.
 

Today
Showers, mainly after 3pm. Areas of fog before 2pm, then areas of fog after 3pm. High near 69. Southwest wind 7 to 11 mph, with gusts as high as 22 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
Tonight
Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Areas of fog. Low around 61. Southwest wind 9 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New rainfall amounts between 1 and 2 inches possible.
Friday
Showers and possibly a thunderstorm before noon, then a chance of showers. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. Patchy fog before noon. High near 64. Breezy, with a north wind 10 to 15 mph increasing to 17 to 22 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 32 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between 1 and 2 inches possible.

Partly cloudy, with a low around 49. Northwest wind 14 to 17 mph.

A chance of showers, mainly after 10am. Partly sunny, with a high near 56. West wind 8 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
