Today, State Representative Timothy Whelan (R-Brewster) announced that his campaign for re-election has been endorsed by the Brewster Police Union (Mass. Coalition of Police Local 332). 

In a statement, Brewster Police Union President Fred O'Neal stated, "We are proud to stand with Representative Whelan and support his re-election.  Tim's strong work toward developing new funding for municipal police training and supporting mental health wellness for first-responders demonstrate his commitment to the safety and welfare of the women and men who put on a uniform and serve the citizens of Brewster every day."

"I am very grateful to the membership of the Brewster Police Union for their confidence in my legislative leadership and for their continued outstanding service to the citizens of Brewster", Rep. Whelan said in a statement.  "Ensuring the public safety of our citizens is one of government's highest priorities, and having walked a mile in the shoes of these officers, I know first-hand the challenges they face.  I am humbled by their friendship and their support".

Rep. Whelan is serving in his second term serving the 1st Barnstable District in the Massachusetts House of Representatives.  He serves as the Ranking member on the Joint Committee on Public Service.  He also serves on the House Committee on Ways & Means and on the Joint Committee on Higher Education.
