Two Medflighted Following P-Town Crash

A serious motor vehicle crash happened on Route #6 at the Conwell Street intersection early this afternoon just before 3:00pm.

A pick-up truck with one occupant and a sedan with four occupants were involved.

Firefighters used the Jaws of Life to free some of the occupants from the sedan which had severe damage on the passenger side. Two people from that vehicle were taken to Provincetown Airport and loaded onto MedFlight helicopters for transport to Boston hospitals.

The crash is under investigation by Sergeant Tom Koumanelis with assistance from the Cape Cod Regional Law Enforcement Council Crash Reconstruction Team.

Deputy Fire Chief James J. Roderick Jr. had command at the scene.

Initial Story

A total of five people were injured in a crash between a Lexus sedan and a Chevrolet pickup truck in Provincetown Saturday afternoon.

Two occupants of the Lexus had to be extricated by Provincetown Fire Department rescuers.  Two people from the Lexus were Medflighted from Provincetown Municipal Hospital.

No further information is available at this time.  Provincetown Police have called in the regional accident reconstruction team to assist with their investigation.
