Heritage Museums & Gardens is the place to be for Halloween fun! Heritage is partnering with the STEM Academy/Sandwich High School Parent Teacher Student Association (STEM/SHS PTSA) to offer this family-friendly event. Visitors will also have an opportunity to support STEM/SHS PTSA by participating in special ticketed activities.
All visitors will be treated to Halloween-themed activities, including a costume parade, a dance party hosted by DJ Ooch, a photo op in a 1913 Model T Ford to show off your costume, fireside entertainment, live music, a Halloween-themed craft, STEM activities at The Hundred Acre School, a scavenger hunt, and free rides on the vintage carousel. Halloween-themed drinks and snacks will be available for purchase at the Magnolia Café.
Guests can support the STEM/SHS PTSA by participating in additional ticketed activities that will be offered around the grounds. Visitors can get their face painted and play carnival-style games, such as a witch’s hat ring toss, a pumpkin broom sweep, a “witch pitch” beanbag toss, Halloween Lucky Duck, and more games run by the SHS Junior Class. New features this year included a dunk tank benefitting the SHS Senior Class, and a “Storybook Trail” where a Halloween-themed story will be brought to life with live narration and characters.
Finally, guest are invited to enter the Special Exhibition Gallery which will be transformed into a Haunted House – if they dare! Participants can also join in on the popular Cake Walk, with chances to win beautiful and delicious cakes, including a “masterpiece” cake donated by The Casual Gourmet. Proceeds from the Cake Walk support SHS’s award-winning Show Choir, Sandwich Soul. Tickets for all of these special activities are cash only and may be purchased the night of the event at each activity.
Visitors are encouraged to dress in costume and wear comfortable footwear to walk to all activities.
