Police report crash likely caused by a medical event

From the Falmouth Police Department:

Frank Rose, Jr., 82, of East Falmouth died after his car left the road and hit a tree at about 8:30 am Friday morning.

A preliminary investigation revealed that the car was traveling northwest on Thomas B. Landers Road, between Geggatt Road and Turner Road, when it left the road and crashed into a tree. There is evidence that Mr. Rose may have suffered a medical event just before the crash took place.

Mr. Rose was transported to the Falmouth Hospital where he was pronounced dead. There were no other occupants in the vehicle.

The crash remains under investigation.
