Cyber Bullying and Digital Behaviors

Meghan McCoy, EdD, Manager of Programs, Massachusetts Aggression Reduction Center (MARC), Bridgewater State University

Participants will gain an understanding of the most common forms of social cruelty kids are engaging in online and off. Practical strategies for preventing bullying will be provided and participants will leave with a deeper understanding and higher level of confidence in dealing with issues that arise.

African American Woman and the Second Great Migration
Presenter: Lisa Krissoff Boehm, PhD, Dean College of Graduate Studies
Date: Thursday, November 15 at 6-7 p.m.

Dr. Krissoff Boehm's presentation will draw on the conclusions of her book, Making a Way out of No Way: African American Women and the Second Great Migration. Over ten years, Boehm interviewed women who migrated from the rural South to the urban North in the Second Great Migration. Learn how these women met great challenges that confronted them and what lessons they learned along the way.
