Before you know it the holidays will be upon us, fun for most of us, stressful and sad for many families in need. You can help make it a happier time. The Family Pantry of Cape Cod will be distributing toys December 16th from 8:30-noon to those registered Pantry children.

Client registration for Toy day is being accepted now through 12/8. Children must be verified in order to register; parents must have a birth certificate, mass health card or passport. Registered Pantry children under 15 years of age are eligible to participate.

In 2017 the Pantry had 1,100 children registered to receive toys.
Toys are donated in a number of ways, private drives, business
drives, personal donations, and toys for tots. Bins will be located at local businesses:  Harwich Chamber of Commerce, Cape Cod Five, William Ravies, , The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod, Second Glance Thrift Shop, and Talbots. Toys also can be dropped off at the Family Pantry warehouse at 133 Queen Anne road in Harwich, Tuesdays 10:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m, Wednesdays 10am – 3:30 pm, Thursdays 10:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., 5:00– 7:00 p.m. and Saturday 10:00 am - 12 Noon.

Each registered child will receive a bag of toys, puzzles, games and pajamas. A bike lottery is held thanks to the generosity of the Armbruster family and an anonymous family from Chatham.   Gift cards for the older children (tweens) who have outgrown the desire for a toy are also welcomed.
Donated toys must be new and unwrapped
