Dennis Democrats to Ponder State of the Party

November 19th at Dennis Police Station

Dennis Democratic Town Committee Meeting

Monday, November 19, 2018

Post Election Discussion begins at 7:00 (open to the public)

State of the Democratic Party

Stefanie Coxe, MA political consultant & trainer, joins us to discuss , how can both centrist and progressive democrats govern and lead in Massachusetts. There is an undercurrent of voter discontent with establishment Democrats, which activists and candidates propose to fix with more progressive ideology – or at least the appearance of progressivism. But the real choice isn’t between progressives and centrists; it is between constitutional ideals and an autocratic approach to governing.

Ranked Choice Voting

Ranked choice voting gives you the power to rank candidates from your favorite to your least favorite. If no candidate receives a majority, the candidate with the fewest first choices is eliminated and voters who liked that candidate the best have their ballots instantly counted for their second choice. Come hear a discussion of the status of ranked choice voting in Massachusetts.
