DA's Office ID's Deceased Man Found Tuesday Morning in Sandwich

Dead man's crashed car found nearby

The Cape & Island's District Attorney's office has issued the following statement regarding the deceased individual found in a Sandwich cranberry bog Tuesday morning:

"At approximately 7:30 Tuesday morning a body was discovered in a cranberry bog near Old County Road in Sandwich.

The deceased has been identified as 39-year-old Daniel Sullivan (dob 4-28-79).

Sullivan’s vehicle was located a short distance away in an apparent car accident.

The matter remains under investigation by State Police Detectives assigned to the District Attorney’s Office and Sandwich Police. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner has accepted jurisdiction of the case."
