Letter Advocating for Break-Up of DY Regional District

from Joe Glynn of Yarmouth

Letter to the Editor:

Shame on the same tired ol’ DYsfunctional Officials who have once again abandon the Yarmouth Townspeople with just a DYexit or really just a YExit solution.  Most possibly only the citizens town exit with taxes going from $4 to over $12 per $1000 to make it house budget feasible. (Dennis still low in State where we Y was too in Selectman's Tenure).

The poor planning and the atrocious negotiations and appointments, in the composition and execution, of the building and regional agreement committees, along with the manipulation of the vote timing, has combined to disenfranchise Yarmouth Voters.

These officials include sellout Yarmouth and Dennis School Board members but does not exclude Selectman on all sides.  Yarmouth Selectman had control of and not only participated in and approved the composition of (which was not a 70-30% but a 50-50 breakdown) but nominated the Chairman of the Regional Agreement Committee from Dennis! The vote could have happened in November!

I have promised to place De-Regionalization  on the ballot so the Townspeople can have a voice.  If you don’t voice your choice after that it’s your own fault and if you don’t like Officials, I can only say “Don’t blame me I voted for me and I told you so”!
