Brewster Police Issue Traffic Advisory

National Grid road work...

From the Brewster Police:

As the National Grid gas line project continues to move eastward from Satucket Rd, onto Stony Brook Rd, the traffic pattern will be changing to accommodate the work. The section of Stony Brook from "The Tree" to Run Hill Road will be closed beginning tomorrow. If you are traveling east on Satucket Rd, detour signs will be in place at AP Newcomb Rd, directing you to Route 6A, however, the road is accessible right up to the intersection with Stony Brook Rd for residents in that area. The same applies if you are traveling east on Stony Brook Rd from the area of Our Lady of the Cape Church. If you are traveling west on Stony Brook there will be detour signs at Paine's Creek, however, the road is accessible up to Run Hill Rd. For transfer station access, you will have to come up Stony Brook Rd from the east (Paines Creek Rd area) to get to Run Hill Rd. Construction runs from 7am into the evening hours Monday-Friday. Thank you in advance for your patience as National Grid continues to work on these needed infrastructure improvements.
