Frigid air continues to stream across relatively warm ocean waters
via west to northwest winds late Monday, resulting in bands of
snow showers across the outer Cape. Tonight as the winds turn more
to the north to northwest these snow bands will be more
persistent and begin to impact more of the outer Cape, from
Provincetown to Chatham. Snow accumulations will range from a
coating to 2 inches with a low risk for a few locations picking up
to 3 inches possible. Less snow is expected from Hyannis
