Editor's Note - It's stories like this one that speak volumes about the character of our first responders.  Here we have a multiple injury car crash and, after tending to their patients, rescuers tracked down a young puppy that had escaped from one of the crashed vehicles.  Well done!

From the Sandwich Fire Department:

Sandwich firefighters responded to this Multi Car motor vehicle crash on Route 6 East this AM.

Several injured patients were transported.

A puppy ran from this vehicle after the collision. Firefighters searched the woods and located the near hypothermic "Sunshine" a quarter mile from the accident scene. welcomes thoughtful comments and the varied opinions of our readers.
