Scam Alert from Eastham Police

Phishing scam posing as email from Eastham Water Project

From the Eastham Police Department:

It has come to the attention of the Eastham Police Department that a fraudulent email “phishing scam” is posing as authentic emails from the Eastham Water Project.

The fraudulent emails contain a link to a GoFundMe page requesting donations via PayPal to “Support Anthony Recovery”.

The Town of Eastham Water Project is not soliciting for donations via GoFundMe, nor through PayPal.

The Eastham Police Department will continue to investigate this fraudulent scam. If you have been victim of this scam, or have any other information, please call the Eastham Police Department at: 508-255-0551.
