Wareham Police Department Announces Personnel Changes

The Wareham Police is proud to announce personnel changes within the police department.

  • Sgt. Christopher J. Park retired after 25 years’ service to the Wareham Police Department.
  • Det. Kevin Reilly has been promoted to the rank of Sergeant and is assigned to the Patrol Division.
  • Sgt. Peter Flannery has been promoted to the rank of Lieutenant and is assigned to the Patrol Division.
  • Officer Garrett Smith transferred to the WPD from the Attleboro Police and is currently assigned with a Field Training Officer.

Acting Chief John Walcek said, “The Wareham Police Department’s biggest strength is its people. The officers promoted are true professionals in every sense of the word.”  He added “These promotions were needed to ensure the smooth running of our police department and I thank Derek Sullivan and the Board of Selectmen for the support they have shown our agency.”
