The Wizardry of Special Effects Master Adam Howard

February 18th at Museum of Natural History

BREWSTER, MA —The Cape Cod Museum of Natural History in Brewster presents The Wizardry of Special Effects Master, Adam Howard Monday, February 18, 2019 at 2pm.

Join special effects master and Cape Cod resident, Adam Howard, during February School Vacation week as we explore the Science and Magic of Wizardry! Visual effects are his business for over 30 years, and Howard’s illustrious career has touched most of us as we sat in a darkened theater, transported to “other worlds” of wizardry, magic, and fantasy.

Perhaps his most famous works in over 130 films, are seen in film series such as Harry Potter, Star Wars and the TV series franchise, Star Trek, for which he has racked up 4 Emmys.

Born in Melbourne, Australia, Adam Howard is a true Renaissance man for all creative seasons. Not only is he a special effects wizard, working for Industrial Light and Magic in California, but he also writes music and is an accomplished portrait painter.

Adam will be bringing with him some fascinating video clips of his work as well as movie memorabilia from Harry Potter. So, join us for this wonder-filled program and learn some of the “secrets” behind the Science and Magic of Wizardry.

Admission: $5 at the door.
