From the Wellfleet Police Department:

On Sunday, 2/10/2019 at approximately 11:06 pm, Wellfleet PD responded to EZ Doze It, off Route 6 for a garage fire. Upon our arrival the garage was fully engulfed. Wellfleet Fire and many fire agencies responded to assist in putting out the fire.

No one was hurt in the fire and the garage is a total loss. Route 6 was closed in the area of the fire to provide safety to those working the fire scene. Water was shuttled to scene as the area doesn’t have fire hydrants.

Thank you to the Wellfleet DPW and state sanding crews who were called out to sand the area. Water used to fight the fire quickly froze forming sheets of ice along the road and the driveway in the freezing temperatures.

Any information about the fire will be released by the Wellfleet Fire Department.
