See notice from MassDOT/Registry of Motor Vehicles

Governor Baker has announced an 11 AM delayed start time for all non-emergency state executive branch employees Monday (3/4) due to the winter weather starting tonight and continuing into early Monday morning.

MassDOT issued the following statement, which will include the Cape Cod RMV branch in South Yarmouth:

The Registry of Motor Vehicles (RMV) is announcing that due to the decision by Governor Charlie Baker that there will be an 11:00 a.m. delayed start time on Monday, March 4, for all non-emergency state executive branch employees because of the winter weather, all RMV customer service locations will open at 11 a.m. on Monday.  In addition, the RMV Call Center will open at 11:00 a.m. and road tests scheduled prior to 11 a.m. will be rescheduled.

A decision will be made Monday morning about whether Monday afternoon road tests will be held after the RMV evaluates the forecast and road conditions.

Motor vehicle inspections will be conducted during normal business hours at service stations on Monday, March 4.

RMV customers may check the Commonwealth’s website for service station locations and to learn more about dozens of Registry transactions which may be conducted by customers online: www.mass.gov/rmv.
