"Gardening for the Absolutely Beginner" Series Continues

March 13th at Woods Hole Public Library

Master Gardeners Association of Cape Cod is offering two more lectures in the series Gardening for the Absolute Beginner. All presentations are in the Woods Hole Library at 581 Woods Hole Road.

On Wednesday, March 13 at 7:30 p.m., Mary Pat MacKenzie will present “Plants.”  This lecture will demystify the classification of plants: perennials, annuals, herbaceous…. She will give examples of different plant requirements, explain the USDA Zone system, and advise the audience on selecting plants for one’s own property.

Both of these speakers are Master Gardeners, members of the group that provides free neighborly advice based on research and scientific studies, as part of the Barnstable County Cooperative Extension Service.  The Master Gardeners run a Horticultural Clinic hotline at the Extension headquarters in Barnstable:  the public can call with their gardening questions at 508.375.6700, or email to [email protected],org.
