A two alarm fire early Monday morning leveled a home on Wellfleet's Lieutenant Island.  The home was fully involved when firefighters arrived shortly after the fire was reported at 12:55 a.m.

Firefighters report that the home was unoccupied.  They were able to access a water storage tent on the island but the home was beyond saving.

Monday morning drone footage shows smoke rising from the cellar hole with only the chimney remaining.

Wellfleet fire officials and the State Fire Marshal's office are investigating.
