Joint alert issued by State Senator Julian Cyr and State Rep. Sarah Peake:

The Massachusetts Division of Fisheries and Wildlife (MassWildlife) is holding a public listening session on the topics of coyote population management, coyote hunting, and coyote hunting contests on Thursday, April 4th 2019, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM in Lecture Hall A at Cape Cod Community College. The session will include a short presentation by MassWildlife staff, followed by an opportunity for attendees to comment, ask questions, and make requests for initiating policy changes.

In addition, the Fisheries and Wildlife Board is planning to hold its June monthly business meeting on Cape Cod on June 18, 2019, at a time and location to be determined, which will be communicated to the public widely when it is confirmed and posted on this website. Public comment will not be accepted during the board meeting. But the board will hold a public listening session separate from the board meeting at the same location as the board meeting, after the board meeting concludes, on June 18th, where public comment will be accepted.
