Outer Cape Health Announces New Clinical Director of Practice Development

Harwich Port, MA - Outer Cape Health Services today announced that Scott R. Weissman, DNP, FNP-BC, AGACNP-BC, has been hired in the dual role of Clinical Director of Practice Development and Family Nurse Practitioner. As OCHS’ Clinical Director of Practice Development, he will serve as the primary clinician champion for Clinical Education across all departments at Outer Cape Health Services.

Weissman, a Brewster resident, will be seeing patients at the reconstructed and expanded OCHS Wellfleet health center re-opening in mid-June. He earned a Doctor of Nursing Practice and a Master of Science in Nursing, both from Northeastern University. He is board certified in Family Practice and Acute Care, with clinical interests in adolescent health, sports medicine, and medical education.

Weissman comes to OCHS from a private practice in Brewster. Previously he worked at a community health center in an underserved urban area. He also practiced at a rural critical access hospital, and served as adjunct faculty for Northeastern University's Nurse Practitioner programs. He began his career as an emergency room nurse after graduating in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Endicott College.
