From the Falmouth Fire/Rescue Department:

Shortly before 6 last night, E21, E24, E25 and L26 were dispatched to Teaticket Hwy for a building fire. Units arrived to find heavy smoke showing from a single story residence. An attack line was advanced thru the door, however crews discovered a large hole in the floor and heavy fire in the basement.

Crews were eventually able to enter the basement, and the fire was knocked down in about 20 mins. There were no injuries, and the fire is believed to be accidental.

Thanks to the Falmouth Police Department for assistance at the scene, and to the JBCC and Mashpee Fire Departments for providing station coverage.
