The Yarmouth Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Steamship Authority, Red Jacket Resorts, and the Dennis and Greater Hyannis chambers of commerce, is hosting the 3rd Annual Mid-Cape Tourism Summit on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 from 2:00 PM – 6:30 PM at Red Jacket Beach Resort in South Yarmouth, MA. This is a free concierge event that aims to educate hoteliers, restaurateurs and other tourist-related businesses on customer service and Mid-Cape area tourism.
Jennifer Werner, Yarmouth Chamber of Commerce’s Marketing, Communication and Events Director said, “We are excited to be having our third Mid-Cape Tourism Summit! We have a great workshop and exhibitors lined up and we hope that many of the staff from our tourist-related businesses won’t miss the opportunity to attend this educational event. This year we are inviting anyone from tourist-related businesses to attend in addition to our members! They are welcome to attend all or just a portion of the day.”
There will be a marketplace with exhibitors from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM, where attendees can learn more about tourism destinations and attractions located in the Mid-Cape area such as historical sites, leisure and family-friendly activities, recreation, museums, and special events.
There will be a workshop on Dealing with the Difficult Consumer from 2:30 PM – 3:30 PM, which will be facilitated by Hollie Handrahan, general manager of Red Jacket Beach Resort. Topics that will be covered during the workshop include how to deal with difficult consumers and how to manage your online reputation when responding to consumer complaints; a Q&A will follow.
Following the marketplace, there will be an outdoor reception with appetizers, drinks, prizes and live entertainment by the McMurphy’s. It will be a great opportunity for attendees to network with others in their industry.
