Army Corps: All Four Lanes of Bourne Bridge are Open

Remaining work to be completed at night...

From the US Army Corps of Engineers:

We are happy to announce that all four lanes of CapeCod Canal’s BourneBridge are fully open and will remain open during the day!

There is still work to be done, but our team will complete this work at night to minimize the impact to traffic. The remaining work involves waterproofing the sidewalk and brush-curbing, which will require a period of warm, dry weather and is expected to be complete over the next few weeks.

During this time, lane restrictions will need to be in place, but only at night. Thank you to MassDOT and R. Zoppo Corporation of Stoughton for your partnership, and a very special thanks to the residents and visitors of Cape Cod and the Islands for their patience and understanding. The bridge repair work is critical to maintaining the structural integrity of the bridges, which are a vital component to the transportation system of Massachusetts.
