Orleans Road Work Notice

Rock Harbor Road - May 16th and 17th

From the Orleans Police Department:

On Thursday and Friday, May 16th and 17th, there will be some drainage work being done on Rock Harbor Road, just off of the Orleans/ Eastham Rotary. Because the road is so narrow, Rock Harbor road will be closed to thru traffic between the hours of 12:00 noon to about 6:00 pm. The work needs to be completed when the tide is low, as this drainage pipe travels from Boat Meadow Creek, under Rock Harbor Road and ends near the bulkhead near the Goose Hummock shop.

Access to Orleans District Court will be Route 6a to Main St., to Rock Harbor Rd and back to Bridge Rd. During the construction phase no thru traffic will be allowed.

There will be barricades at the exit point of the rotary onto Rock Harbor Rd, and again at the intersection of Bridge and Rock Harbor Rd. Traffic may pass this last barricade to access Orleans District Court.
Detail officers will be on location to assist with traffic.
