Museums at Aptucxet, Aptucxet Trading Post, open for the season

Bourne, MA: The Museums at Aptucxet, including: Aptucxet Trading Post, Grover Cleveland’s Gray Gables Train Station and Joseph Jefferson Windmill will be opening for the 2019 season on Friday, May 24th. Additionally, the Aptucxet Gift Shop and the Carousel in the Windmill will be opening for the season this weekend.  

Opening weekend at Museums at Aptucxet will be celebrated Friday-Sunday, May 24th- 26th; 10AM-4PM Friday and Saturday and Noon-3PM on Sunday.

Join us Saturday, from 10 AM - 4 PM, to play Putt Putt Mini Golf at Museums at Aptucxet! For only $1 per person, per game, play some putt-putt along the Cape Cod Canal!

All the historic buildings on the site will be open; tour around the Aptucxet Trading Post, the Grover Cleveland Train Station and the Joseph Jefferson Windmill! The Windmill will feature this year’s special exhibit – the Windmill Carousel created by local artist Lance Shinkle. This 6-horse carousel created by Shinkle has wooden, hand-carved horses and paintings by the artist. It is run by a single person operating a bicycle apparatus. Come and take a ride on this amazing work of art!

Cost: Free! Suggested donation to the Bourne Historical Society.

This season the Museums at Aptucxet will be open: Tuesday through Saturday, 10 AM to 4 PM and Sundays from noon to 3 PM.  Visit Museums at Aptucxet; 6 Aptucxet Rd., Bourne, MA 02532.
