Wareham Police Seek Public's Help to Solve Vandalism Acts

Windows smashed on multiple vehicles...

From the Wareham Police Department:

Wareham Police are investigating multiple acts of vandalism which occurred early Monday morning. The first vandalism was reported at about 3:55 a.m. on Plymouth Avenue. After this other calls were received from various locations in the Shangri-La area reporting vandalism to vehicles. Later that morning similar calls were received from the Cranberry Highway area between Santos Drive and Perry’s Ice Cream. In addition, there was a final vandalism report in the Lakeside Trailer Park area. It appears as though that at each of the locations a bat or other blunt object was used to smash windows and other parts of the vandalized vehicles.

The Wareham Police urge anyone with information into these crimes to contact the police station at (508) 295-1212 or the “Anonymous tip” line at (508) 291-2300. A tip can also be reported to “Text-a-Tip” by texting 274637 on your cell phone, start with the text, “warehampd” then your message.

As a reminder, in an emergency or situation requiring an immediate police response should not be texted.
