From the Sandwich Fire Department:

Sandwich Fire Department received this 1998 Pierce Engine which was previously with the Dalton (MA) Fire Department.

The truck was worked on by Sandwich FD FF-Mechanic Seth Cannon and FF Drew Lahteine.

The truck is named Squad 4 (454) and will be housed at the new fire station on Cotuit Road this summer. The truck has both heavy and technical rescue capability and fire suppression capability. The truck was purchased for 39K and has 10,000 miles on it and is in excellent shape. The Squad will give SFD a heavy duty rescue vehicle when it goes through its next ISO evaluation. The department hasn't had a truck that meets this ISO requirement since the 1980's.

Thank you to Dalton FD and Specialty Vehicles for assisting us. We added the Sandwich High School "BLUE KNIGHT" mascot to the truck as SFD is proud of the SHS Blue Knights!!
